Trevor Francis is the fourth in a family of five imaginative children. Always up to some sort of mischief, he was either turning some empty box from a large appliance into a new wing of his clubhouse, conducting mock radio interviews under the “direction” of his equally mischievous older siblings, or sneaking vinyls onto his fathers record player.
Years later, and after graduating from the “pause button loop tape” to the AKAI 950, his love for music and production further blossomed when he was able to combine it with his love for film. Having produced a few short films in his high school media class, Trevor found his way into Sheridan College’s Media Arts program where he graduated with a major in film production and digital editing. His love for music was enhanced by his passion for design and they met in the world of motionography.
The recent eight years of Trevor’s career have been spent forfeiting his personal life for MuchMusic’s Creative Department. During his time there he implemented and oversaw Creative for the network’s top priorities including brand partnerships with the network’s chief clients and directing show elements for the nations biggest televised party, the MMVAs. He has been personally responsible for many of MuchMusic’s image and branding strategies over the past decade, including the Holiday Wrap, The Chunk, the America’s Best Dance Crew “Electro Dance Rangers” campaign, and writing the copy for muchmusic. com, “you won’t find this MuchMusic anywhere else”. Working as closely with client partners as his creative team, Trevor has learned a dynamic that best insures the freest expression, while holding true to the mold of each individual brand.
Trevor’s work has gone on to win several gold international Promax and BDA awards, and while he’s proud of his accomplishments, he’s not content. His intense passion for the art form and his growing reputation pushes him forward, challenging him creatively and keeping him looking for opportunities to produce the next award-winning project.
